You can select pick-up your order in the shopping cart. (by Appointment only!) We are located in Westchester New York. We are not open to the public. Your order will be handed to you when you arrive.

Why can't I call and talk to someone? We are a small business and our website has all the information needed to order and care for your mantis pet.

Live Arrival Policy: We guarantee LIVE arrival if:

• You select and pay for NEXT DAY AIR.(not SAVER) 
• You must be present at the time of delivery and notify us right away if there is an issue.
• Live arrival means exactly that. Once you receive and accept the order as alive and healthy there are no further guarantees. Packages cannot sit in mailboxes or wait for you to come home from work or school. They are delicate and perishable requiring immediate care when delivered.
  
• Return items such as supplies must be new unused and in original packaging.
• If the delivery attempt is made but your not there then no guarantee

In the unlikely event that your order arrives injured or dead, send clear photos so we can see what may be done.  Email pictures within 2 hours of delivery.  Once we have the clear photos, we will decide if replacement or a refund will be given.
Our live arrival guarantee does not cover the freight costs. The freight costs are the responsibility of the purchaser.

You can save on shipping costs by ordering supplies separately with ground shipping.

Next day air shipping is the only way to ensure live arrival for insects. We won't guarantee any delivery to arrive alive including feeders though it is your option to use ground delivery.

It is mandatory for Live Mantids and will likely cancel the order.

Shipping is Monday-Wednesday. We ship from Westchester New York.

You will receive a tracking number. That does NOT mean it has shipped only that it's in our system and we purchased your shipping label.

When USPS or UPS pick up package Tracking will update -We guarantee live arrival ONLY when you Choose NEXTDAY Air delivery.

-This does NOT mean your order will ship that same day, only that it has LIVE GUARANTEE.

Delays: Orders for live insects are subject to weather conditions, possible molting or need for observation before sending is also consideration for the animals safety and well being is paramount! As well as our ability to work when we have many orders or personal limitations.

Shipping is closed on weekends and time in transit is for business days M-Friday excluding holidays.

If you cannot wait considering these delays contact us and we can try to accomodate you or cancel the order.

Check on your order's status by logging in and tracking it at Track your Orders . Note that alerts may not always be received due to settings. Be patient with possible delays related to live insects, as we care deeply about their well-being.

No we only ship in the USA

Those are called the "Instars" or stages. This is the number of molts since hatching and refers to the age or stage size of the insect

Praying Mantis are insectivores and eat pollinating insects such as flies, moths, and bees. Flies are easy to get and can be seen here Flightless fruit flies

A habitat doesn't need to be elaborate or expensive. they require humidity and ventilation to survive in captivity. See our habitats here

Mantids can be a wonderful experience for children \when supervised by an adult. When ordering we suggest not raising expectations and anxiety with delivery time and being certain your mantis arrives in good health before presenting them with a mantis.

Ordering as gifts for holidays or birthdays may not be a good idea as shipping delays are a concern

Praying mantis can live up to 2 years depending on the species, lifespan in general is 8-14 months.
