    Parablepharis kuhlii Darth Vader mantis

Parablepharis kuhlii is a species of praying mantis found in India, Myanmar, Vietnam, Borneo, Java and a part of China, at least in Yunnan.

One of the most sought after rare praying mantises in the world. These are hard to find and we have bred them domestically

Common name: ”Darth Vader” mantis, Vietnamese ghost mantis

Origin: South East China, Thailand, Vietnam and surrounding territories

Adult size: 6-7cm in females, 4,5cm in males

    Temperature & humidity requirements: 24-28ºC, 70-80% humidity

Feeding source: Red runner roach, cricket, dubia roach. Young nymphs up until L3 should be offered fruit flies (Drosophila).

Housing requirements: Ventilated enclosure with mesh top. Enclosure height should be at least 3 times the length of the mantis. Lightly mist with water

Ooths are fertile though not guaranteed to hatch as they can take 8-10 weeks to incubate and can be ruined if done incorrectly
