    Exo Terra Digital Hygrometer

Every exotic pet owner knows the importance of monitoring the humidity in your pet's terrarium. Reptiles and amphibians can be highly sensitive to moisture, whether it needs to be high to keep them moist, or needs to be low so they don't get sick. Analog hygrometers provide a way to do this, but digital hygrometers tend to be more accurate.

The Exo Terra Digital Hygrometer is equipped with a remote sensor for accurate measurement and durability. This precision instrument comes with a programmable minimum and maximum memory setting, which can be controlled with a single button. The sensor is held in place with a suction cup, while the instrument can be mounted with hook & loop fastener (included), or it simply slides into place on an Exo Terra  or .

    • Enables accurate humidity indication for the health of your pet
    • Remote sensor for pinpoint accurate readings
    • Simple hook and loop fastener for easy placement
    • Minimum / Maximum humidity memory
    • Fits the Exo Terra Compact Top and Linear Fluorescent Top Canopies

Locate an area in a terrarium where humidity needs to be measured, usually in a central location and find a place for the probe to be placed, use provided suction cup to ensure the probe is positioned correctly and secure. 3. If you have the Exo Terra  or , simply slide the instrument into place. If not, use hook and loop fastener to place where desired.

    FAQ

    1. If the probe gets wet, will the humidity level still be accurate?

No, if probe gets wet, thoroughly dry and leave for a few minutes before taking an accurate humidity reading.

    2. Since the hygrometer is digital, does that mean it measures actual humidity or relative?

Anytime humidity is measured in percentage, it will be relative humidity, whether it is digital or analog.

    3. Where should I put the probe for the best reading?

It depends; if you are trying to read the general humidity in an enclosure, you will want to have the probe in between any cool and warm side you may have. However, you may be trying to read the humidity in a basking area, and if that is the case, you will want to find a central location in between the basking light and the basking spot, somewhere closest to where your reptile will hang out when basking.
