Recientemente reclasificada y agrupada en una familia separada, Stenophylla es rara incluso entre las mantis, cuya distribución y número no están bien registrados en las densas selvas tropicales. De hecho, dice Lanna, las tres especies del género Stenophylla se conocen principalmente en colecciones de museos.

Hemos aprendido que esta es una mantis relativamente fácil de mantener y criar. Se pueden mantener en comunidad, como siempre, si hay suficientes en su hábitat y la comida es abundante. No hemos observado ningún canibalismo en grupos de 10 y más.

I was sold a dragon mantis and my partner and I were extremely excited. We both have had a bit of experience with mantises but never actually owned one. We thought it would be fun, so we started doing our research after taking lil guy home. We literally cannot find any type of information. I have tried over 40 different websites, and I am worried that the lil guy is going to die because we don’t know how to care for him. I would assume the same as any other mantis, but I’m worried that were feeding him wrong and he might have a special diet? However we’re very happy with him and love him dearly

I got a gimpy mantis, its missing a leg no leg was found in the tiny container. The first mantis sent had miss molted and was lifeless due to the three weeks the post office had my package (not the companys fault). They offered me another mantis or my money back, i took the mantis. So I got a gimp. Over all experience was bearable, I wish it could of been better.
