    Desliza lentamente tu mano debajo de la mantis y deja que se arrastre hasta tu mano. Mantenga su mano sobre la jaula para que, si salta, aterrice dentro de su jaula y no afuera.

    2 No hagas ningún movimiento rápido, ya que es probable que se vaya volando si lo haces.

    3-Sostenga un grillo u otro insecto pequeño frente a él. Que lo atrape. Déjalo que empiece a comer y mételo en su jaula. (Sostén el insecto por sus patas traseras, teniendo cuidado de que cuelgue lejos de tus dedos, de lo contrario la mantis religiosa podría atraparte accidentalmente los dedos con esas espinas feroces en sus brazos).
